  • Q:

    I plan on using this while kayak fishing in cold weather. I want to be sure that there will be ample movement capability so I can paddle and cast. My size would be a medium but wanted to be sure that would provide the space to move. Also, if I understand correctly the neck and wrists are neoprene and not latex, is that correct.

    Thanks,

    Joe

      Ok, this is direct from the manufacturer,LATEX SEALS around neck & wrist, and NEOPRENE SEAL PROTECTORS around the neck & wrist. You should have enough room for "ample movement" unless you have a lot of clothing on that could hinder the amount of movement, more clothes, less movement.

  • Q:

    I was wondering what material the built in water proof socks are made from. I have seen numerous suits with built in socks which are either latex or the cordura material and I am looking to purchase one with the cordura material built in sock.

      Tim, we sent your question to the manufacturer and this is their answer back to us;
      The socks are the same material as the rest of the suit –it's a 200D nylon fabric with a waterproof/breathable polyurethane laminate

    can this suit be used for swift water rescue

      A:

      Norm, direct from Stearn's catalog; NOT INTENDED FOR PROLONGED IMMERSION, RECOMMENDED FOR SURFACE RESCUE ONLY. Now having said that it's back in your lap as to using this for swift water, my guess is if you have to go in to get someone it will be their choice, sorry we aren't much help with this.
