    What is the exact weight of this tool? I've seen that it was 12lbs on some websites and I've seen 8lbs(1Lb heavier than the firemaxx). 4Lb difference is a big deal.

      It is not designed to work as a 2 person rappelling hook, it's purpose is for a self rescue, not that it won't work if you had to bail out and take your partner with you. it's more emergency than anything else. Not sure that answers your question?

    Does the Hammermaxx have the spanner wrench too? It looks different from the spec drawing.

      The only difference I can see is the hammer head part looks more like a hammer (larger) but they say this still has the spanner built into it.

      The HammerMaxx has a larger head for hammering, and weights 12Lbs.
      The FireMaxx weighs 7 Lbs., and has a spanner wrench that will fit up to a 5" storz coupling.
