Good Purschase!

Very comfortable! The reason I switched to leather suspenders is because the cloth suspenders seemed to stretch out. My old suspenders always slid off my shoulders, but the leather suspenders seem to stay in place! The only con I have was it took a whole to get them. Seems the red leather suspenders aren't in stock as much, but they were well worth the wait! I'd recommend these to any firefighter! Get the red, firemen wear read suspenders!

Great product! Leather is always better!

If you are a member on a company that wears bunker gear a good bit or for long periods of time this product is for you. If you feel your suspenders carry the weight of your bunker pants, this product is for you. They are light comfortable and if you have them adjusted right you forget you have them on.

Comfortable suspenders

by

Great suspenders. Much more comfortable than the nylon on standard bunker pants.

Strong, yet comfortable

by

These leather suspenders are heavy-duty, yet surprisingly comfortable. I wore them for the first time while involved in a drill session that lasted over five hours. I never noticed a difference in the suspenders. They didn't bite into my shoulders at all, and I like that fact that they didn't sag or stretch as I crawled down the hallway stretching an 1 3/4"". I had to return the first pair that I received, since the stitching that holds the reflective strip to the leather was pulling out. This was right out of the bag, and never made it to the firehouse and was never used. The replacement set was better, but even this pair has questionable stitching on the reflective strip. The construction of the suspenders themselves, though, is heavy-duty and I found no problems with the suspenders. The reflective strip may fall off, but the suspenders will still be usable.

Just as Advertised

I've worn these on a few calls so far. They are MUCH better than the cheap elastic suspenders that came with my turnouts. The only down side that I found, and it's a small one, is the first time that I wore them was on a one vehicle rollover and it was about 90 degrees out side so I was soaked with sweat and the red dye transferred onto my shirt. It hasn't happened since. I am a little concerned with the anchor points and the possibility of them splitting apart with lots of wear. I did not notice that there is a mic holder on the left shoulder when I ordered them, but I have found that it is a very nice feature to have!

Like'm a lot. If your bunker pants do not have a higher back than front order the extra long

Boston Leather Suspender

My morning pride suspenders that came with my bunkers were just plain wore out. I bought these as a gift to myself for passing my firefighter 1 certification. I love them! No more sagging bunkers!

Overall pretty good.

by

Other than the XL being listed for people over 6'-1"", which is why I got them (I'm 6'-4"") and it turning out that they were WAY too big they have been great. Yeah, I could have probably sent them back for the standard size, but they're leather and easily cut down to fit (and new holes punched). I wouldn't suggest getting the XL unless you're at least 6'-6"" or taller. Just my take. Otherwise I'm quite satisfied with them.

These are great!

by

I bought these to replace my cloth suspenders that came with my gear. The old ones constantly stretch out and don't hold well. These are where I want them when I pull up my bunkers.

Good, but not perfect.

by

I've had these suspenders for a few months now and they're very comfortable, visible, and build well, but being that I sweat a lot, the red color bled out of them. Pretty bad. I ruined 2 shirts and stained the inside of my brand new turnout coat. I soaked them in water and sun dried them about 3 times and it helped, but they still bleed. So my advice is to wear dark shirts with them and to be okay with a stained inner shell. Other than that, I do really like the suspenders.

Worth the money you won't be disappointed

by

I recommend these. They sit where they are supposed to. And are super comfortable on shoulder. I was surprised that they have a radio mic holder in the left side . Buy the red. Firemen wear read suspenders. Lol

You will love these suspenders

by

The suspenders bar comfortable and easy to use. I highly recommend them for anyone. Some people think that leather suspenders will dig into your shoulders. I have been using them for some time now and have not seen that to be the case.

Works well. Good product

by

My only concern is the amount of material at the end of the strap where the buttons come thru. Looks like eventually it will tear. So far they have worked well and are comfortable.

Nice suspenders but painted?

by

I like the suspenders. They seem heavy duty, and I liked them as soon as I saw them. I did notice the reviews about the bleeding so the first thing I did was put them in hot water to try to bleed them.... Well, they bled. And then the red started peeling off. The red is some kind of paint or something rather than a dye, so it all came off. I just spent two hours cleaning all the red paint off, and now have decent looking suspenders with a red/natural tinge. I don't care for the red paint on them...

Functional and comfortable but constantly bleeds color

by

Had these suspenders in full-time professional use for more than 3 years. They are comfortable and functional however every time I sweat while wearing them, red dye leeches from the suspenders and stains my shirt and coat liner. Not sure how long to expect this to continue but I didn't expect it to last this long. I'll order black again next time.
