6" Female NH x 5" Rigid Storz Top Crack Jumbo Low Profile Ball Intake Valve

AXD series Jumbo Low Profile Ball intake valve reduces friction loss and maximizes flow through a huge 5.25 inch (133mm) diameter waterway. Designed for use with 5 inch (125mm) hose. A swiveling 30° intake below turns a full 360° allowing you to mak ehose connections from any direction while minimizing kinks. Designed to be used with pressure or vacuum service.  The maximum operating pressure for the unit is 250 psi (17bar) and has been tested to meet the 900 psi (62bar) hydrostatic strength test. The 7.5 turn hand crank used to close the valve meets NFPA slow close requirements. A reflective position indicator clearly shows the operator the valve's position. The hand crank can be specified to operate in the front or the top of the valve to maximize clearance. A rugged one quarter turn air vent at the top of the valve allows air to be bled quickly. TFT's adjustable pressure relief valve is installed with the discharge pointnig downward and meets NFPA 1901 (2009 edition). The aluminum castings are hard coat anodized with a powder coat finish inside and out for maximum corrosion protection. All wetted components are aluminum alloys to prevent galvanic corrosion and are specially coated for additional corrosion protection. Hose coupling and truck connections are attached to the valve using polymer bearing rings which can provide electrical isolation to help prevent galvanic corrosion.
