  • Q:

I see that the hood meets NFPA structural firefighting standards. I would love to wear this hood outside in Minnesota winters at accidents, but also be able to go on air and wear it with the face shield down and out of the way. Of course I want the hood to retain its shape after doing so too. Am I able to do that? Thank you.

Pete you should be able to do all of that, if your hood is an NFPA standard hood it is suppose to retain its shape no matter the weather. I wear my hood in the winter all of the time, around the home outside, walking the dog, etc.
