Kochek: Dry Hydrant Strainer, 8" PVC
Choose
Back-Flushing Cover, Fixed Cover, or Check Valve. Kochek’s durable, PVC strainers are designed
for superior performance and long service life in a wide range of Dry Hydrant
applications. These sturdy, horizontally mounted strainers are precisely
perforated with holes up, per NFPA specifications. Vertically aligned 1” holes
near the end cap allow easy insertion of a 1” pipe or other kind of support rod
to anchor the strainer into place. It can be easily secured with a Kochek Dry Hydrant Strainer Support Clamp. Rubber plugs are
included to seal these holes if a support rod is not used. A slip-fit connection
allows a direct glue-on attachment to Schedule-40 PVC pipe. Choose 6” or 8”
Strainer to match the diameter of your pipe.
Three
models to meet your needs:
- Back-Flushing Cover allows quick, convenient flushing to
discharge any debris that may have collected in the pipe.
- Fixed Cover model is ideal for a more economical
installation where debris is unlikely to enter the system. The simple aluminum
end plug can be easily removed or reinstalled with a
screwdriver.
- Check Valve model with a Fixed Cover offers advantages
for shallow installations where there is a potential to run dry, or where
freezing temperatures aren’t a concern.
Choose fixed cover, back flushing
cover or fixed cover with check valve for 6” or 8” PVC
pipe.
