The Mertex lining process creates a virtually inseparable bond without the use of adhesives. Because it welds the thermoplastic lining directly to the textile while the hose is being woven, it fills the natural corrugations of the weave to produce an amazingly thin but smooth inner waterway. What’s more, the Mertex process permits the use of high-strength Filament Polyester yarn and effectively locks the fibers together, further enhancing strength yet still allowing high flexibility. The result is extremely low friction loss for maximum flow, and a hose that will remain flexible in sub-zero temperatures down to -65° F (-55° C).

Permatek HP treatment on the outer polyester jacket provides better visibility, shorter drying times, and longer life. This proven coating improves visibility and abrasion resistance, while it reduces water pickup and absorption to help keep weight low. Permatek is resistant to chemicals, petroleum products, ozone and UV exposure, hydrolysis, mildew, rot, and plain dirt.
