The Personal Retriever™ is the only U.S. Coast Guard approved,
buoyant, rapid response, multi-use, water and ice rescue disk, with 100-foot reach.
The Personal Retriever out performs all throwable water-rescue devices.
The Life-Safer Personal Retriever™ is a United States
Coast Guard (USCG) approved, state-of-the-art, throw able Personal Flotation
Device (PFD) developed to enable first responders ashore or afloat the ability
to quickly retrieve people from the water or from frozen rivers, lakes and streams.
It is now an authorized substitute for Type IV 20-inch and 24-inch orange or
white ring buoys onboard commercial vessels.
The Personal Retriever™ utilizes modern technology to
make available the latest rescue equipment to professionals in water and boating
safety.
When used in drowning intervention the disk provides 11.24 pounds
buoyancy and is attached to a floating recovery line (with a range of 100 feet)
for rapid redeployment. This range can be extended with a supplemental line
for use off higher-profile vessels.
The Personal Retriever can be thrown accurately and repeatedly
in man-overboard water rescue emergencies and helps to keep response teams out
of danger during ice rescues. It can be quickly and easily retrieved and redeployed
using the attached floatable recovery line.
As such, in a man-overboard situation or during a water/ice
rescue, the Personal Retriever can be a life saver.
