RIT BAG: R.E.D.--Rapid Extrication Device
A rescue device that offers a quick, effective, yet safe method of extracting a downed firefighter. The Rapid Extraction Device allows a firefighter to be wrapped up and contained, so the RIT team can extract the firefighter via dragging, pulling, lifting, bending, lowering, or carrying. RIT BAG'S R.E.D is made out of strong, durable Arashield Gold—the same material used in your bunker gear.
When packed and rolled up, the compact design allows you to quickly and easily carbiner it to your truck or RIT belt so you can do a hands-free search. Six strategically placed Kevlar loops, each with a newly designed aluminum power handle, provide a more efficient range of motion as well as increased leveraging capabilities when extracting a down firefighter.
