FEATURES:

UPPER FEATURES: Fire and ozone resistant dip latex rubber compound. Vulcanized and layered construction.
SPECIAL UPPER FEATURES: High Abrasion foxing and high abrasion toe guard for durability. Yellow visibility band. Wide, yellow reinforcing top binding. Sturdy pull-on loops for easy donning and doffing.
METAGUARD: Metaguard built-in material for extra protection of the metatarsal.
SHIN PROTECTOR: Internal shin guard protection.
SHANK: Bend resistant, austempered steel with triple linear ridges treated with zinc phosphate rust preventative. Triple ribbed with dimensions of .05” x 1” x 4”.
SAFETY TOE: Austempered steel treated with zinc phosphate rust preventative.
INSOLE: Removable, polyurethane inner sole for additional arch support.
STEEL MIDSOLE: One piece steel midsole. Puncture resistant to greater than 272 lbs. Flex tested to 1.5 million flexes.
SOLE AND HEEL: Non-marking, heavy Trac Tread made from high abrasion rubber compound provides excellent traction in many footings. Molded rubber heel provides added stability.
LINING: 65% Nomex/35% Kevlar combination is highly durable and abrasion resistant.
INSULATION: Polyurethane open cell foam insulation.
SOLE AND HEEL ADHESION: Nailess construction – high temperature adhesive used to adhere heel to sole and sole to midsole.

The 1409 is our most popular selling Servus rubber boot. We have found that the Wide (W) sizes seem to be fitting most firefighters the best. We try to maintain both Wide and Medium sizes in our inventory.
