The award-winning CQD®
Mark I's milled aluminum construction, plunge lock mechanism, and secondary safety
lock make it one of the strongest folding knives ever produced. Available in both
manual and automatic versions, the Mark I is specifically designed to make rapid
deployment and stowing of the knife a one-handed operation, even while wearing
gloves. In addition to its stout primary blade, it features a recessed belt/cord
cutter and a carbide glass breaker for breaching windows, making it an ideal choice
for paramedic and rescue personnel.
With the exception of a serial number,
the sterile, unmarked Mark I LE (Limited Edition) is the exact knife issued
to many SEALs, the State Department's Mobile Security Division, and other members
of the special ops community. It optimizes the weapon potential of this knife
with the addition of a sharpened false edge on the top of the blade and special
traction grooves on the manual opening stud and lock button. It also comes equipped
with an injection-molded nylon sheath that allows it to be carried in the open
position like a fixed-blade knife.
