The three-battery G3 LED was built with law enforcement and security professionals in mind. Surefire programmed their upgraded palm-sized, high-intensity LED flashlight to deliver more hours of tactical-level light, at the expense of a few less hours of total runtime. It’s an extremely important feature in an illumination tool designed to go in harm’s way. The newly designed G3 LED produces 80 lumens of flawless LED light, more than enough to search with or overwhelm a bad guy’s night-adapted vision. And you can count on having that powerful light for almost 6 hours without changing batteries. What’s more, the light level can be upgraded to a dazzling 200 lumens with Surefire’s forthcoming ultra-high-output P61L LED assembly. This new optional higher output LED assembly is expected to be available sometime in late 2008.

Easy to carry. Easy to use. The tough, corrosion-proof Nitrolon® body features a molded-in grid that makes G3 LED comfortable to hold and provides a secure grip, wet or dry, even when wearing gloves. The instinctive, tactical-style Surefire one-hand tailcap switch uses a pushbutton for instant on-and-off, with a quick clockwise twist for constant on. Or twist counter-clockwise to securely lock the light in the OFF position, to prevent accidental activation. An impact resistant lens and O-ring sealed bezel and tailcap make the light fully weatherproof. A rugged, black anodized aerospace-grade aluminum bezel helps dissipate heat generated by the super bright, virtually indestructible LED, for maximum performance under all conditions.
