After world-famous knife fighting expert Jim Wagner trained Germany's top counterterrorist team, the GSG9, in knife tactics, Boker asked him to design the ultimate tactical folding knife for police, military and security personnel. This is the result—the Jim Wagner Reality-Based Blade. This potent knife has tactical features that no other folder can offer. The sturdy, extremely aggressive RBB Gladius-style penetrating blade has a sharply angled deep-piercing tip, two blood grooves, and a trailing Kris curve concave cutting edge with a tear point at the front and a full serrated ripping edge that widens a cut on withdrawal. The black-coated 440C stainless steel helps maintain stealth while offering an excellent balance of corrosion resistance and hardness for a sharp, lasting edge.
The knife’s tactical black FRN (fiber-reinforced nylon) handle is ergonomically shaped and sculpted with deep, heavily textured anti-slip finger grooves for a comfortable and exceptionally secure grip—including a combat-style fist grip, tip up or tip down, with either hand. A unique Thumb Slide guides the operator to the blade’s ambidextrous disc-shaped opening stud for immediate deployment, with or without gloves. Large protective blade guards at the front and rear of the handle add to grip security and offer protection in any cutting task—or while smashing a window with the interchangeable glass-breaker on the end. 1mm stainless steel liners and a solid lock-back mechanism increase strength and rigidity to keep the blade securely open under tremendous pressure.
