How the Jersey Boot makes short work of so many situations:
Inward Swinging Door: This is the primary function of the Jersey Boot—use it as a conventional ram. With a head twice the size of a typical ram, the Jersey Boot’s larger sweet spot lets the operator deliver more impact energy over a larger area without the risk of penetrating the door and trapping the device, which often happens all to often with conventional rams. Plus its unique configuration makes it easier to hit the right spot.
Close Quarters Breaching: The Jersey Boot was designed to be used in the tightest areas. Frustrated with trying to breach doors in narrow hallways with large SWAT team members all around, The Jersey Boot’s designers created a design and special CQB Breach technique to breach doors in the most cramped spaces, where longer floppy-handled rams fail. Because the breacher using a Jersey Boot never needs to extend the rear portion of the ram past his body, a stack of operators can stay closer to the point of entry, and not have to worry about the “back blast”.
Outward swinging Door-The Jersey Boot can be used to pry open virtually any door, including Class 3 Steel doors with steel jamb installed in block or concrete. The boot was designed fit between doorknobs and dead bolts. Its thicker, larger pry surface can be easily wedged between the door and the frame, so you can use the large pry area and excellent leverage to finish separating and opening the door.
