CMC Rescue’s unique design takes escape descent hooks to the next level. Made from a high-strength aluminum alloy with a hard anodized finish, the CMC Escape Anchor Hook is extremely versatile and easy to use. Its unique profile provides quick attachment around structural lumber and over window ledges, pipes and other solid objects. The slotted handle also allows for girth hitching around larger anchor points. The Escape Anchor Hook is designed to attach an escape line to a secure anchor point for emergency egress. The selection of an anchor point of adequate strength is essential for the safe use of the hook. For the most secure rigging, wrap the escape line around a pillar, standpipe, or other solid anchor point. Insert a bight through the opening in the handle and loop the line over the end. Whenever the point of the hook is used, imbed the point as deeply as possible in the framing. Tension must be kept on the hook and escape line continually until the egreee is complete. Failure to do so may allow the hook to release from the anchor point. Using the corner area of a window allows for more room and an easier transition. It is the user's responsibility to determine the structural integrity of the anchor point and to deploy the Escape Anchor Hook appropriately. Made in the U.S.A.
