The BLACKHAWK!® High Performance Fighting Uniform (HPFU) featuries a lean, athletic cut with articulated knees and elbows for increased performance and mobility, and reduced bulk. Constructed with no-melt, no-drip materials to reduce the dangers of burns that can be caused by ordinary polymer-based fabrics under flash conditions. Today’s more effective plated body armor typically protects the torso. The HPFU strategically integrates two life-saving tourniquets inside each arm of these HPFU Shirts. With two more tourniquets integrated in each leg of HFPU pants, the ensemble offers a powerful capability to quickly stop rapid blood loss from arterial wounds in the extremities. The BLACKHAWK HPFU with I.T.S. meets U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research tourniquet requirements (USAISR). It can help save lives.
