Ready Heat are now certified compliant to ISO 13485:2003 standard on Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices!
These blankets are a single-use, disposable blanket. The warming pack, non-woven fabric, and manufacturing technologies that allow for the blankets unique performance were refined over several years of research and development. The Ready-Heat are a Class 1 Medical Device and received FDA clearance in 2004. A patent was granted in 2006.
The blankets are manufactured in the U.S.A., using a proprietary Radio Frequency welding system.
Since 2005, TechTrade has shipped tens of thousands of blankets to the Department of Defense, Army, Air Force, Marines and military contractors. The contractors put Ready-Heat in their new Hypothermia Prevention Kits, which are now carried by U.S. ARMY Combat Casualty Care Medics. Some of the blankets are used in Iraq and Afghanistan to treat and transport wounded soldiers from the battlefield and during transport back to hospitals in both the U.S. and Germany.
The Ready-Heat Vest uses the same heating technology as our blankets, and comes in an Overhead Style for maximum comfort. It warms to 100°F/37.8°C in 8-10 minutes, and works off a low amount of oxygen making it perfect for wearing under your jacket for increased protection against the cold.
The Ready-Heat Vests are great for EMS workers in the field. During nighttime or cold weather accidents, EMS workers can spend hours on the side of the road saving lives, our vests will help them remain warm and focused. Overhead one size fits all style with two adjustable hook and loop strats.
