good helmet

by

Great helmet I was just a little dissapointed in the internal suspension. My father has two of the older bullard full brims and their internals are much stiffer and offer a slightly lower ride on the head. New internals are comfertable but a little wobbly.

Great looking helmet.

The instructions could tell you which is the front and back, of helmet, so you can get the suspension system mounted correctly. I had to refer to a picture of the helmet, in an ad.

Excellent helmet and service.

Wish my dist would get hem for everyone.

Comfort for safety on fire grounds

Full brim provides full protection from Falling snags, water, even the sun I ordered the yellow helmet it allows you to be noticed a lot easier. The ratchet allows to be lessen and tighten with a simple twist. The chin strap also allows the helmet to be secured to the head without any discomfort. I recommend this helmet for anyone that would need the use of a hard hat not only for firefighters but any situations that you may find yourself in where a hard hat is needed.

Q&A's:

"Can the Bullard USRX, the Full Brim Wildland Helmet FH911HR, or the Advent EMS/SAR Helmet, Model A2 helmets be ordered in CERT (Community Emerg Response Team) Green? Our campus is training CERT teams for on campus emergencies as well as for teams that will be going out on community assist when activated. All of the CERT hard-hat's are lacking in basic functionality like, wide brim protection during rainy or full sun operations, proper goggle retainage clips for quality eye protection which comes with USRX, or optional with Wide Brim FH, chin straps when bending moving equipment, debris or victim assist, NFPA reflective striping. These three helmets with goggles like what comes with the USRX, in CERT Green with reflective CERT logo on the sides would be a Good, Better, Best scenario for advanced CERT, C-CERT groups. Paul"

I will follow up with you via email. Thanks for your question.

"Does the Bullard Full Brim Wildland Helmet with Ratchet come with the leather ratchet pad?"

Yes it does, and it is removeable so it can be cleaned.

"Does this helmet come with the leather ratchet cover as well?"

Yes it does, and it's removeable so you can clean and wash it.

"What is the difference between yellow and lime/yellow?"

The best way to tell you about the color yellow is picture a school bus, that''s the closest thing I can think of. The Lime Yellow is a flourscent color, kind of jumps out at you, picture this if you will a yellow helmet with the reflective striping on the sides, the strips are your lime yellow, you can see the difference between the colors that way.

"do you have a combo kit the full brim helment and the goggles together"

No the Wildland helmets don't come with eye protection.

"Do these helmets have the NFPA 1977 certified sticker inside of the helmet? Or the national wild land sticker?"

Bullard Wildfire FH911HR Series helmets meet and exceed the performance specifications of NFPA 1977-1998 as certified by USTC. Helmets also exceed all major state fire codes for wildland firefighting. When they leave the mfg they are required to have the stickers inside of them.

"Does this helmet come in large size?"

The Sure-Lock suspension (ESRTSL) sizes quickly with the turn of a ratchet knob. one size fits all

"What is the recommended age for this helmet to be replaced, assuming two to three wildland fires and/or prescribed burns per year? Is there any requirement from the manufacturer or U.S. government agency that you should replace this type of helmet after a certain number of years, no matter what the use?"

Boomer, i have never heard of any time frame for the wildfire helmets, the structural fire helmets are supposed to be replaced every ten years, and 85% are not. If it were my choice I would use it as long as it wasn't damaged, cracked, or chipped that sort of thing. But I would be thinking about doing something with it after 3 or 5 years of use, especially if I've been seeing a lot of fire during that time period.

"I know it says one size fits all, I have a huge head however. How big can it fit? is there a specific largest size head that will be able to use this helmet? A specific number would be great!"

Blake, we know it fits a 6.5 to 8 not sure this is the answer your looking for.

"Re: 6028105566L Why am I unable to get the strap connection into the helmet?"

Keith, you are going to have give us more information, the number you supplied we have no clue what that is, and the strap connection also clueless as to what you are talking about, contact me at this address; bgriffin@thefirestore.com, and I'll try to help you.

"I read in a previous color question about the lime/yellow, but what about the orange color, is it a florescent orange or more of a darker orange color, florescent or blaze orange is one of my favorite colors and that would be the one I would order when I get the funds to do so."

Are you asking if you can get this helmet with the R/O trim? If so the answer is yes but it will have to be special order from the mfg. They don't come from the mfg. with the R/O unless it is special ordered.
