Some fire hydrants have been in place for dozens of years, and many rarely get used. This leads to rusted valves that are extremely hard to open. There are many locations where hydrants are obstructed, buried into hillsides, covered by overgrown shrubs, or barricaded from high traffic areas. The EZ SPANNER™ allows you to access hydrants from a better position, and use the ratcheting feature to keep from putting yourself in compromising positions. Fire Hydrants are now easier to open because you don’t have to keep taking the wrench off the valve to reposition it.

The custom designed hooks were developed to gain a stronger, tighter grip on the couplings and fittings used most often. The hooks eliminate slipping off the lugs as you tighten down your fittings. The 3 sizes give you more options for different sized lugs, as opposed to a “one size fits all” type of hook, and gives you the option to access lugs from different angles, due to the 3 different positions of the hooks.
