Will I Test Positive for THC?
In general, no.

However, full spectrum CBD products have a very small percentage (<0.3%) of THC.  This has zero psychoactive effects, and it is very rare that someone would test positive for THC from this very small dose. Just like O’Doul’s (near-beer) won’t get you intoxicated, it still has a very small amount of alcohol in it (0.4% compared to 4% for normal beer).
 
In theory, if someone consumes large amounts, such as over 1,000mg of full spectrum CBD for several days in a row they could potentially accumulate enough THC to cause a sensitive test to be positive. THC is fat soluble and can accumulate in the body. To put that amount into perspective, that would be 2 full 500mg bottles per day.
 
The biggest risk is that you would get a product that doesn’t have strict quality protocols and contains higher amounts of THC than advertised. It’s very important to choose a product with strict quality protocols and third party testing.
 
If you want to be absolutely sure not to test positive, then you can take an “isolate” product that has all of the THC removed.  Some people report less of a therapeutic effect from this product because they may lose some of the “entourage” effect as synergistic compounds are removed, but this is a good option when someone wants to be extra safe.  Our THC free product is denoted very clearly with a blue bottle.
