Pro-Tech 8’s Fusion Structural/Wildland Firefighting and Extrication Glove maximizes “gloves-on capability” through all your various fire ground tasks.

The ultimate enhancement to hand safety, the Fusion Glove breaks in extremely fast and remains soft and flexible after use. Its fire-retardant, breathable, mesh knit polymer liner provides blood borne pathogen/liquid resistance and reduces friction during donning and doffing to increase efficiency. Made of highly flexible and durable water repellant goat skin suede, the outer palm layer features distinctive stitching that promotes the most efficient grip of any NFPA compliant structural glove.

The ring and middle fingers’ palm sides are cut and sewn independently for enhanced dexterity. The unique flexible 7-layer knuckle guard system provides repetitive thermal protection and cut/puncture resistance at the vulnerable knuckle compression point. Gathered stitching around the entire wrist provides a secure fit and prevents debris from entering the glove. Certified to NFPA 1971-2013 Edition, the Fusion Glove provides the superior dexterity, grip, flexibility, comfort, and fit that Pro-Tech 8 users expect.

Pro-Tech 8 Fusion Gloves

by

I had read other favorable reviews regarding these gloves and I am very pleased I purchased them. I believe proper fit is the key and the sizing chart provided by Pro-Tech makes it easy. So far they have only been through 1 fire and RIT training but they are already broken in and I didn't even notice my hands were soaking wet. Very comfortable.

best glove's for everything

by

the gloves are the best thing for a person that is looking for a low cost. I have used them a lot and found that work perfect. but remeber to get a size biger cuz they will get small.

Excellent Interior Gloves

by

Very comfortable and fitting, if you like your gloves to be a little bigger get a size larger because they fit to size. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to a fellow firefighter!

Great glove! By far the best.

by

I literally just got the gloves yesterday, and I took them up to the firehouse for drill. They require a little bit of breaking-in but that will blow over quickly. I love them, I can pick a pencil up off the floor. Great dexterity and good protection. I grabbed on to some tools and ladders and I tied a few knots(Including hard ones) and it worked out great! I recommend this 100 percent.

Best gloves I've Wear

by

Excellent

Good Glove for the price

by

I want to start by saying this is a great glove for the price. When trying these on at Fire/Rescue International in ATL a year or so ago, I actually preferred these over the higher dollar ones produced by Pro-tech as well as any of the other manufacturers at the event. I have had these for a year+ now, and I have put them through the ringer. They have great dexterity and fit very well to my hand. I do have some tears in the outside material that do not seem to compromise the integrity of the glove but that is to be expected with heavy use. The one drawback I have found with this glove is that the thermal protection is somewhat lacking compared to some of the other gloves I have tried. The only times I really notice it is if I am doing multiple evolutions in a burn building. The slight lack in thermal protection I would trade any day for the dexterity I have gained with this glove. Overall, I would say it is a great glove, and it is one I will continue to use.

Great Glove and Great Price

by

I am not a FF or EMT but I do play with fire all the time. I smoke meat in what is called a stick burner (All wood no coals or gas). I bought these gloves to be able to reach into the firebox and make small adjustments to the burning wood. These are amazing gloves. I feel almost no heat transfer and they are very agile. I can adjust dampers, pick up kindling, and do some pretty tactile work with these. They have held up very well and although this is an odd review I would highly recommend these to the FF community. If I can grab and hold on to burning wood multiple times per week and they hold up like this then I would imagine they would be great protection for what they are designed for. Oh and Thanks for your service Guys and Gals.

best glove i have ever used.

by

Absolutely the best gloves I have ever bought. Have used for multiple fires, training burns, and vehicle extrications. They elastic wrist cuffs are great at keeping out dirt, debris, ans water. Have never had my hands stay dry while dealing with sprinkler shut offs. They break in so fast and work great. Thermal protection was phenominal and the gloves just never cease to fail for me. Able to actually feel what i am trying to grab and pick up this with out having to take off my gloves. I would recommend this glove for anybody, volunteer or career.

AHH-MAZING

by

absolutely amazing, used them a week after i got them and was fighting a fire with them, didnt feel any heat, and absolutely no water soaked through to my hand

Middle of the road

by

I first bought these gloves and was very happy with the comfort and dexterity. But after a few traing fires and few structure fire the construction of the glove weakened and a the outer shell started to tear through. They are good glove for the price but dont expect a long life out of them.

Pro-Tech 8

by

I used this item in training as well as in actual fire calls. They work great just don't hold up long. I had mine for maybe 2 months and done a lot of training in them and I am starting to get holes in the top of the fingers, But the glove fits perfect and give you the most mobility in a glove I have ever had!! I really like the glove, but just wish it held up better and longer.

Light, Tough and Comfortable

by

I have very large palms and stubby fingers, although the glove is not specifically designed for my hand type (check the cadet version of the leather gloves for more on that) these gloves fit my hands spendidly. I have tried over 8 different types/brands of structural and extrication gloves over the past 12 years of my career. By far these gloves are the most versitile, comfortable and tactile gloves I have ever put on for fire fighting. The gloves are well constructed, with the liners tacked to the inside of the glove to keep them in place. No liner out, hand won't go in problems here. Be advised these gloves are not leather so they are not the most durable. But at the price point you can't beat them. 6 long and rough structure fires, 8 vehicle extrications and just the smallest amount of wear. I would say buy these gloves! There is no bull and no frills they work! If you have a high call volume department these gloves may not be the best for you, but if you need tactile feel, sure grip and enough protection to move flaming debris these gloves fit the bill. They are cheap enough if you only get 6 months of use out of them big deal! They are about 1/2 the price point of comperable competitor's leather gloves. Well worth the cost to increase effectiveness.

My favorite gloves!

by

Just bought my second pair of these. This glove is an excellent all around glove. It's light than the Titans yet keeps your hands cool and protected during any fire ops. The liner stays put and the gloves are very easily donned and doffed with wet hands. Dexterity is excellent. I can pick up small items very easily. I've had these for about 2 years and only bought the new pair for an additional dept I was hired onto. I highly recommend these gloves.

ProTech 8 Gloves...

by

I have used this glove for both firefighting and vehicle extrication and I'll say it doesn't do either one very well... The fit and comfort of this glove is A+ but the durability is an F-. The leather is some form of synthetic leather that doesn't hold up well at all to heat and you start to have little holes forming all over the palms. The fabric on the sides of the fingers also wears through very easily.

WAIST OF MONEY

by

GREAT PRICE BUT I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU BUY... WE HAD TWO RECRUITS GO TO THE FIRE ACADEMY, AND ONE MONTH LATER, UNDER NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS, THE LINERS PULLED OUT. IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE FIRE SERVICE A WHILE YOU KNOW ONCE THIS HAPPENS THE GLOVES CANT BE USED AGAIN.... WAIST OF MONEY FROM A DEPARTMENT WHO DOESNT HAVE A LOT TO BEGIN WITH

Great Glove!!!

by

These gloves are great the offer great durability and are very light weigh but can still get the job done when needed!!

good gloves, good price

by

The ProTech8 Fusion glove has been a durable glove for structural firefighting. The glove is a multi-part glove so it moves around your hand well when opening, closing, gripping. The liner is sewn in which makes it easier to put on and take off when wet. It does work well even when wet.

Comfortable and light

by

Great product inexpensive very light and not bulky which is the biggest plus

Great Glove Great Price

by

My Department Issued these gloves always bought my own. Once I had a chance to use them I was impressed with durability of them and comfort.Very easy to break in also.

easy don and doff

by

they don't bunch up like other gloves

Best glove for the price

by

Just ordered my second pair. First ones lasted just over 3 years but they got their money worth. Just like any glove if you use them everyday for calls/training, etc then your gonna go through them fast. But Protech makes their gloves above and beyond other the other top brands. Comfort, dexterity, and the fitment of them is outstanding.

Extremely comfortable and well built.

by

We bought a pair to try out. The FF using the gloves was extremely happy with the flexibility and the ease of getting the gloves on or off when wet. We were impressed enough that we bought these gloves for the entire department!

Best Glove in the Fire Service

by

Very Good Glove! Feels like you're wearing Batting gloves! But their fire gloves! By far the best glove out there! If you don't buy these...You're crazy!

Great glove, great price

by

Purchased these gloves at a fire expo about 3 years ago, working with them ever since. Light weight, durable, easy to don/doff even when wet. These gloves are now showing signs of wear for example small tears throughout limited to the outside protective layer. For this reason today at an Expo I purchased both a pair for myself and a friend of the Titans and am interested to see how they fair. Loved these gloves since day 1, break in period was practically nothing. I have used shelby, dragon fire, fire dex, and other brands but Protech by far has been my glove of choice. When using the dragon fire gloves I literally ripped the entire outer layer of the right index finger off on my first day using them leaving just the plastic moisture barrier. I will still be using my beat up pair as a back up no doubt and will put a review of the titans after some use.

No more burned hands

by

I wanted good gloves to use with a smoker and grilling. These work great, I am well pleased with them
