Quickly knocks down chimney fires with a fine spray so water damage is minimized or eliminated.Chimney fire season is here. Be completely prepared as soon as you arrive on the scene with this convenient, portable and easy-to-use Snuffer Kit. Every engine or apparatus should have one ready to run up to a roof.
The durable 5 lb. head is easily operated by one person. Eight strategically placed nozzles spray 40 gallons per hour, at 60 psi. This unique torpedo shaped head is heavy enough to break through creosote buildup, bird nests or other common chimney obstructions. This kit is suited to provide a limited amount of water directly on the burning components, without creating extensive damage or thermal imbalance to crack ceramic tiles.
The Chimney Snuffer comes complete with snuffer nozzle head, rigid ball shutoff valve, 1” garden hose adaptor and 1 ½ x 1” adaptor for line to apparatus, 25' rubber hose, Res-Q-Rench and kit carry bag.
Snuffer Nozzle Head:
5 lbs., 1.0” NH (25mm) with GHT (19mm) adapter. Eight strategically placed nozzles spray 40 gallons per hour, at 60 psi. The nozzle and valve are constructed of durable hard anodized aluminum, stainless steel, rubber and engineering grade polymers.
Rigid Ball Shutoff Valve:
1.0” NH x 1.0” NH (25mm x 25mm) with unobstructed ¾” (19mm) waterway. Body made of lightweight rubber and engineering grade polymers and hardcoat anodized aluminum. Quick-change rear valve seat shut-off ball is stainless steel. Weighs .9lbs.
25’ (7.6m) of 1” (25mm) durable rubber hose. Resistant to hot embers. Also includes 1" garden hose adapter and 1 ½ x 1” adaptor if apparatus carries forestry line.
Lightweight, strong, and incredibly handy. If you could carry only one pocket tool to the Fireground or rescue scene, the multi-purpose Res-Q-Rench should be the one. Plus it’s the only folding spanner that will fit most 4.0" (102mm) and 5.0" (127mm) Storz locking couplings.
