Dry firing a gun is often necessary to check its status and ensure all rounds have been removed. Action Target's Full Standing Clearing Trap makes this a safe and simple process.

The trap may be used to check handguns, rifles (up to .223 and .308), and shotguns with complete confidence that the trap's ballistic armor steel chamber filled with composite rubber will safely contain any unexpected shots fired.

Measuring 32" H x 26" L x 10" W, the clearing trap can safely handle up to 250 fired rounds before needing to be cleared. The Action Target Clearing Trap is perfect for shooting ranges, locker rooms, armories, gunsmiths, and correctional facilities.

Other clearing traps are available on the market, but at prices much higher than they need to be - some as high as $700! The Action Target Clearing Trap costs less than half that amount.

"Good morning; I see in your specs that it can handle up to 250 rounds before cleaning. Would this discharge system be appropriate for test firing a 9mm pistol after disassembly? Question 2 after 250 rounds how much time is needed to clean the unit, and what is the expense to put it back in service? Can this be completed by our department armorers."

No. This device should not be used for any type of test firing. It is intended to be used during loading/unloading in case of accidental discharge.

"Is it capable of handling 12 gauge slug?"
