Akron's 1441/1443 Shutoffs are lightweight ball shutoffs equipped with Style 439 smooth, dual stacked bore tips. The base tip on each shutoff has a female thread on the outlet for added protection and durability. Available with either a 1-1/2" or 2-1/2" inlet, these shutoffs work well for situations in which a fog nozzle is not required. Unique new Akron design features molded-in padding for extra cushioning and reduced hand fatigue. Improved handling: Contoured corners and a unique upward curve when in the open position provides a better grip and easier access to shut off the nozzle. Reduced storage space: The handle’s curved forward configuration streamlines the nozzle and reduces overall height, to take up less crosslay and cabinet space. Increased strength: “I-Beam” design and larger trunion hubs provide superior strength and durability.

Scott, I'm far from an expert on CAFS systems, I did find that it will depend on what your intentions are for the system. It will work with the shutoffs and smooth bore tips you are asking about, but if you want to make a foam blanket you can take the tips off and lay down a more "soapier" blanket, the shut-offs with a 1 3/8" water way will do this. Akron doesn't show a CAFS nozzle per say, but if your not locked in on an Akron you can look at the TFT CAFS straight tip nozzles, P/N FSS13-CAFS is a 1.5" and the P/N JSS13-CAFS is a 2.5" model, both are suitable for flowing water only, and have a 1 3/8" tip, also you should match them up with a shutoff with the same size waterway. Not real sure I was of any help here for you, if you still have questions contact mme @ [email protected] and I will contact the nozzle people from TFT and /or Akron.
