Pro-Tech 8’s TITAN-K Structural Firefighting Glove provides enhanced comfort, dexterity, flexibility, and heat and moisture resistance during fire ground tasks.

Note: Gloves may appear different than the image.

The multiple layers of Kevlar® and Nomex in the TITAN-K Glove are designed to withstand the effects of flame, heat, vapor, hazardous liquids, sharp objects, and related hazards during structural firefighting operations.

The FR kangaroo leather outer layer is more durable, pliable, and water-resistant than any other leather. The NFPA 1971 certified Porelle® FR 540 breathable barrier provides effective moisture and bloodborne pathogen resistance.

The palm layers are stitched down with Kevlar high burst thread for a stronger grip. The Kevlar and Nomex finger sidewalls maximize dexterity and flexibility, while the multilayer knuckle guard system provides unmatched thermal protection and cut/puncture resistance.

The reinforced leather inner cuff and leather pull tab enable easy donning and doffing.

Great gloves!

by

Love the dexterity and comfort of these gloves. They were stiff at first but after a the first fire they broke in very fast.

High quality product.

by

High quality leather and workmanship went into these gloves

awesome well fitting glove

by

the fingers are stitched in so the liner does not come out when your hands are wet. very easy to don and doff when hands are wet or damp. perfect for the fire service

Titan K's

by

The only con I have found so far, is the index finger on the left hand is sewn a little crooked .. Other than that, they are light weight, the dexterity is very good. Good glove, easy to deal with ropes and hose. Stays virtually water proof when dealing with water, and although they soak up some water, my hands are always dry. I would highly recommend these to someone else.

Best Glove i Have ever used!!!!

by

Best Glove I have ever used. this glove is by far the most comfortable glove on the market. American firewear's Super Glove is no match for the ProTech 8 Titan k

Worth the money hands down.

by

I don't usually leave product reviews anywhere I go however these gloves have worked better in the last two weeks of me using them then my last pair of department issued gloves ever worked in the last 4 years. The top features that I appreciate about them are how easily they were broken in and yet how durable they still feel. When they get wet the liner inside stays dry and they are still easy to remove and put back on. The dexterity is impressive for structural gloves and the short cuffs version I feel is long enough for adequate protection. One of my friends has the regular leather ones and feels the same about the quality but does admit he wished he had spent the few extra dollars for the added durability and how water resistant they are. The one down side I see is the cost, I do think they will last 2x longer then any standard glove but still they are pricy.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST

by

SIMPLY THE BEST GLOVES OUT THERE, YOU EXPERIENCE VIRTUALLY NO DIGIT FATIGUE; MY ONLY REGRET IS, I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THESE WONDER GLOVES 8 YRS AGO!

Comfortable but not bulletproof

by

They won't last long if you do a lot of search and rescue drills and are always on all fours. I went thru Fire II Academy and they had holes worn in the fingertips in three weeks. On another note they were great for tying knots and raising extension ladders even when soaked and they are very comfortable and not bulky at all. When they are wet they hold the water inside the glove and your hands turn into prunes quickly. All in all a great glove but pricey because they don't last long. I am ordering another pair now that I am done with the Academy and I hope they will last longer in the field.

Great product, great customer service!

by

Great gloves, making my son's training even better. I also appreciate the great customer service I received when I needed to return the gloves for an exchange and smaller size. Thank you!

Just what my son wanted

by

These are exactly what my son was expecting. Very well made gloves.

Amazing Firefighting Gloves!!!

by

Extremely comfortable and dexterous gloves. Did not take much to break them in, they came very flexible compared to other gloves I've used. Look awesome and feel awesome! Searches and basic operations are much easier with these gloves! Love that the lining will never come out when I'm taking them off, all stitched into one piece. Excellent buy! Get these!

Great Dexterity, but didn't last

by

I have had these gloves less than a year and the stitching on the plan is coming apart. Our safety officer took them OOS. They are awesome gloves initially but won't last.

Best gloves you can buy

by

I was issued these gloves a few years ago by a volunteer department and loved them. Unfortunately I gave them away when I left the department. When I got hired on the career side, I bought them for probie school. They put up with repeated abuse and stay comfortable and flexible.

These do NOT DISAPPOINT!

by

In 23 years and seeing glove after glove, I thought for sure I'd seen them all. Pigskin, Goat, Elk, Cowhide, even Koala, I had tried them all and found varying levels of success. Then one day I stumbled on Kangaroo. The Kangaroo leather remains soft yet incredibly tacky even when wet and super durable, resistant to all sorts of hard use. The Honeywell Fire Mate was my go to glove for years, with many of my shiftmates picking them up as well. Now fast forward to today and the modern advancements of fibers and insulation - PRESTO, you have the PRO-Tech-8 Titan-K (for Kangaroo)!!! This glove marries the technology and flexibility of modern fiber protection with the durability and dexterity of Kangaroo and Kevlar, surrounding your hands in soft snug protection feeling more like extrication gloves than the oven mitt fire gloves of yesterday. Out of the box, they are very flexible and soft inside. Wanting to fast forward to the best break-in possible, I ran mine to the local sporting goods store where ten minutes in the glove steamer and 5 minutes of pounding has made them like butter. I immediately donned them to find a fit like I have never experienced - EVER! The sizing guide was spot on for my hand size and I ordered the XL, (usually I take a XXL) which initially felt a little short in the fingers. After my little break in experiment, they feel like custom gloves! I have them INSVC now for a few weeks and had a couple of little jobs, and these gloves have performed perfectly. Donning is a snap and actually has me now wearing them while masking up at the door, reducing my ready time considerably. My hands stay dry and warm so no issue there, and the fabric portions of the gloves remain solid with no defects - even after lengthy overhaul ops. Brothers, these are no joke - a bit pricey, but they are worth it! I only wish I could trade in my other pairs of fire gloves for another pair of these... Guess some OTP is in my future!

Still Going Strong!

by

I've had these gloves for three years now, and so I feel that I can give a good, honest review. These gloves fit great! I use a 2XL and these fit perfect. The first time I used them was for an MVC. It was rainy, cold, and I had to use the Hurst Combi Tool to get the van open. These gloves kept my hands dry and warm in the dead of winter! After having been through many more house fires and training nights with these bad boys, these gloves will be the first that I go for when buying another pair. The ones that I have now haven't even been torn yet! There are no tears, no seams have come undone, etc., even after all of that overhaul, and the usual wear-and-tear. These gloves rock! My only gripe is that I wanted these to have a wrist cuff on them but they did not. My bunker coat has the cuffs with thumb holes, but I still like to have that extra bit of coverage. Now don't fool yourself, these will SOMETIMES get your hands wet, because let's face it, when you open up the nozzle inside a building, you sometimes get wet. But these are easily dried by letting them sit on my helmet in my gear rack. Put them back in your gear and you're good to go. Honetly, you'll never need another glove!

Fantastic Gloves!

by

Very comfortable right out of the box. Used the gloves the day after I got them and never worried about them not being broken in. They are very well constructed. They have been through about 8 fires and still going strong.

Solid all around gloves.

by

This glove is great as far as dexterity and insulation. I put these gloves through their paces during recruit school doing countless searches in both live fire and burn building evolutions. I got these after wearing holes in 2 consecutive pairs of department issued gloves. These held up great and were even better after being broken in. The only problem I had were the inner liners of the fingers getting wadded up after being soaked. They are a little more time consuming to put on but are well worth it when you start putting in work. All in all a great product that do a very effective job of protecting your hands in extreme heat. The amount of heat that transferred through these vs a pair of Honeywell gloves is not even comparable.

yes- I would buy this product again

by

Sold to a chemical plant for Fire Service. they were happy with the glove.
