ESS lenses are 2.4mm to 2.8mm thick polycarbonate - tough enough to stop a shotgun blast, and one of very few goggle and eyeshield lenses that passes the rigorous US Military .22 caliber ballistic impact test MIL-V-43511C.

Independent test labs show that ESS lenses have higher V50 impact resistance levels than the most popular tactical lenses from Oakley and Bolle. At the same time, ESS lenses have 100% UVA/UVB protection, and the best optical clarity available in ANSI Z87.1 compliant eyewear.

Ordered these because it says they are for ESS but I have a ESS and they will not fit lens says 2007 edition on them. not the same lens evidentaly

Jim, there are 3 different ESS Goggles that are NFPA compliant, Innerzone 2, Innerzone 3 & Firepro-1971. You are going to have to call customer service and tell them that you received the wrong parts. Have your SO number ready and the part number you received, you will also need to know what model ESS goggle you have, the 2007 might be revering to the NFPA 1971 standard, 2007 edition.
