Yes, the dimensions of the rectangular basket is 83-1/2 x 24-1/4 x 7-1/4 in (212 x 62 x 18.5 cm) which will accomodate a standard sized 72"x18" backboard.

Lee, we had to go to CMC Rescue to get an answer for you, the catalog has both baskets as having the same sizes; 726300 is the Tapered model and 726301 the Rectangular model. #726301 is Rectangular, so the outside rails are the same width from top to bottom. #726300 is Tapered, so the widest point is about 1/3 of the way down from the top, with the outsides "tapering" in from that point. Rectangular is ideal, as the patient can be loaded in either way, which can be advantageous if you're in a tight spot and can't flip the basket around. Tapered is more "traditional", but styles are very similar and it's really just up to user preference. The picture is the rectangular model. Hope this answers your question.
