How come when I check out it says black and I would like Navy but it wont let me pick navy.

Mike, that's because we don't stock it in Navy, just the black model, the blue is a different number and is called Midnight Blue, P/N CAP-24 and would have to be ordered

With the strap, does it leave room for a ponytail or is the strap internal and no ponytail hole?

They tell me it has a hook and loop strap,(Velcro) if it leaves room for your ponytail that's something you would have to decide, we can't answer that.
