6" Female Swivel NH to 6" Male Threaded NH Jumbo Short Ball Intake Valve, No PRV

The AQ Series of Jumbo Short BIVs have Male Threading on Side B and a swiveling Female NH coupling on Side A. A huge 5¼ inch diameter waterway reduces friction loss to 3 psi at 2000gpm, maximizing the flow. AQ8NX is designed for use with 6 inch (150mm) hose on a pressure or vacuum service pumper. The maximum operating pressure is 200 psi (20 bar) while meeting the 900 psi (62 bar) hydrostatic strength test. Made of an aluminum casting that is hardcoat anodized with a powder coat finish inside and out for maximum corrosion protection. All components on the wet side of the valve are made of stainless steel for additional corrosion protection. Fitted with a slow closing 7.5 turn hand wheel to meet NFPA requirements. There is an unique position indicator that shows the operator if the valve is open, closed or somewhere in between. With the standard gearbox the hand wheel is installed on the right side of the valve, but can be switched to the left side if desired. The unit comes equipped with a rugged ¾ inch (19mm) drain valve to quickly drain water from the valve housing. A port for an optional air bleed valve is incorporated into the design for user friendly configurability. Hose coupling and truck connections are attached to the valve using polymer bearing rings which provide electrical isolation to help prevent galvanic corrosion. The AQ8 series does not include the optional pressure relief valve, the opening for the optional pressure relief valve is capped.
