CMC Cobra-D Uniform Rappel Belt

In a class by itself, CMC’s Cobra-D Uniform Rappel Belt is designed for everyday wear but can be used for an emergency rappel or belay when needed.

Built to the same exacting standards as CMC’s harnesses, the Cobra-D Uniform Rappel Belt is the only NFPA certified uniform rappel belt available on the market. The adjustable belt uses 1 3/4” nylon web that fastens securely without requiring any hook-and-loop material; a web keeper secures the excess web at the tail end of the belt. The belt also includes an AstriAlpin D-ring COBRA® buckle with an 18 kN minimum breaking strength and a built-in, straight pull, stainless steel D-ring with a 22 kN minimum breaking strength. For added safety, the COBRA buckle requires a two-finger release and will not open when loaded. In case of an emergency, the Cobra-D Uniform Rappel Belt can be used to rappel or belay to safety.
