The head of the Tomahawk consists of a pry bar on one end and a hardened point on the other. The pry bar can make a purchase point in a door, hood, or trunk seam for hydraulic tool insertion; pry off hatch and trunk gas struts; or shut off gas valves. The flat surface of the pry bar can hammer in cribbing, wedges, or the striking surface to provide an effective driving point into objects.
The hardened point can break glass, make purchase points in laminated glass, or punch into a tire to make a strike insertion point in the body of the vehicle. The handle of the Tomahawk features more extrication tools, including a laminated glass saw, a beveled plastic cutter, a large trim puller/spanner wrench, a gasket puller, a beveled edge for removing trim, a valve stem puller, and a glass notch/antenna remover.
With Ajax’s Extrication Tomahawk at your disposal, you’ll have the tools you need to perform safe and effective forcible entry on a vehicle in order to rescue trapped patients.
