Available in print or USB format, these self-study guides are designed to supplement the IFSTA Hazardous Materials For First Responders textbook. These guides contain hundreds of multiple choice questions that are designed to help students remember information and to make them think. The question-and-answer process also provides good practice for civil service and certification examinations.
The back pages of the printed study guide include the answers listed by chapter and referenced to the textbook page on which the answer can be found.
The electronic study guide allows students to proceed through the questions in random order, find out immediately whether their answer is correct or wrong, and be referred to the source for the correct answer if necessary. At the end of each session, the program provides a review sheet and allows students to retake any missed questions. Each time a student goes through the program, the questions are rearranged randomly so that no two sessions are identical. Windows compatible only.
