Petzl AM"D Pin-Lock H-Frame Carabiner

Designed for use in groups, Petzl’s AM’D Pin-Lock H-Frame Carabiner is ideal for fastening a harness or connecting a trolley to a continuous lifeline.

The asymmetrical aluminum AM’D carabiner secures the connection of the user via its Pin-Lock system, which can only be unlocked using one of the two included special locking tools. The unlocking pin can be installed directly on a glove for repeated manipulations, while the unlocking ring can be kept on a carabiner on the harness for immediate and occasional use.

The carabiner may be used with a CAPTIV positioning bar to favor loading of the carabiner along the major axis in order to limit the risk of it flipping and to keep it integrated with the device. The keylock system prevents any involuntary snagging of the carabiner. The H-profile protects the carabiner’s markings from abrasion and ensures an improved strength-to-weight ratio.
