Details

Pro-Tech 8’s TITAN Structural Firefighting Glove provides enhanced comfort, dexterity, flexibility, and heat and moisture resistance during fire ground tasks.

The multiple layers of Kevlar® and Nomex in the TITAN Glove are designed to withstand the effects of flame, heat, vapor, hazardous liquids, sharp objects, and related hazards during structural firefighting operations.

The soft, pliable tanned goat skin suede outer layer resists cracking, peeling, stiffening, and water damage; the NFPA 1971 certified Porelle® FR 540 breathable barrier provides effective moisture and blood borne pathogen resistance.

The palm layers are stitched down with Kevlar high burst thread for a stronger grip. The Kevlar and Nomex finger sidewalls maximize dexterity and flexibility, while the multilayer knuckle guard system provides unmatched thermal protection and cut/puncture resistance.

The reinforced leather inner cuff and leather pull tab enable easy donning and doffing. Certified to NFPA 1971-2013 Edition, the Pro-Tech 8 TITAN is the essential glove for structural firefighting.

Great Glove!

by

I have owned a pair of these gloves for over a year now and they have held up quite nicely. Not only did they last me through the fire academy, but through 3-4 good fires since that time.

Decent Glove

by

Light weight and flexible glove. The most comfortable glove that I have ever used. The only con is the leather on the palm wears through quickly doing basic firefighting task.

best glove ever.....

by

Just got these gloves and i have never felt and performed my job any better than with these gloves

Best gloves I've worn

by

I just got my second pair of titans for Christmas and overall my third pair of Pro-Tech gloves. My gloves get a ton of work and have held up strong. A bunch of the guys on my department have bought and loved these gloves as well. Can not find another glove that is more comfortable and has more dexterity than the Titans. You can take these off soaking wet and put them back on with ease. Washing them does not invert the fingers and can slip them on just like they were brand new.

Reliable Gloves

by

I bought these gloves from this website. I wore them to a fire call two days later. I fought a lot of fire and was exposed to a great amount of heat and these gloves still feel brand new after getting very hot, and very wet. I have used them four times since in similar situations and they still look and feel great. Great gloves!

Best gloves I have ever had !

by

These are the best gloves I have ever owned. Pro Tech was the only company that would even consider making a custom glove for me. They fit great. They have great thermal protection and they keep my hands dry.

Keep as spares, thats about it.

by

These gloves fit well and are comfortable. I have never been worried about getting burned when wearing them. My biggest complaint is they are not waterproof. Any water they encounter they suck right up and your hands are soaked. Once they are wet they are very tough to put on and off.

The Best Structural Gloves

by

I bought these at the advice of my Captain to get me through the fire academy, that was two years ago. They have been the best structural gloves I've ever owned, and I've owned several different brands. The only damage they suffered was a small tear to the outer layer of leather on the fingers, but even that was becuase they were torn on a piece of sheetmetal in a fire. They are easy to put on and the liners don't try to rip out when they are wet. I've done push ups, tied knots, ran pumps and climbed ladders in them. They are the best gloves you can get.

make sure you measure

by

I love the gloves once I can get them on my hands, with that said make sure you measure your hand before purchasing. I wear XL gloves for everything and all the structure gloves I have been issued have always been XL so naturally that's what I bought. however when I got them they were small and didn't fit my hand right. I have talked to a few guys from my department and everyone that has them says that they vary in size and no two gloves fit the same.

Don't get these

by

After a few times I've used them they soaked up every bit of water and got crusty after a few fires.

Pro Tech Gloves

by

This is my second set of the Pro Tech, i love the fit and dexterity when wearing them. Accidently burned up the first set in a training fire.

Best gloves I have ever bought

by

High quality, easy to work with, great dexterity

Great fitting gloves

by

I used these in the Fire Academy where they definitely saw their fair share of use! I used these gloves almost everyday for 3 months straight and they held up beautifully. They fit great and were much more form fitting than the bulky gloves most of the guys had in the Academy and were awesome for tying ropes and knots because they increased my dexterity. I'd say I could have probably got another months use out of them at least before they'd start to tear or rip. Definitely recommend getting these instead of the Mickey mouse gloves they give you in the Academy!

goatskin makes this a great buy

by

The only downside is we have to keep replacing these for our firefighters because they come up ""missing"". They are very popular

Nice gloves

by

Nice gloves with good motion and dexterity. The only thing i did not like was i had a little rip the first time i used them on the palm.

Fit great, take too long to put on.

by

The fit is great, length of fingers are actually spot on. They are tough to put on especially when wet. The opening is too tight, makes it tough when entering a fire scene, it will delay your entrance.

Took a chance. Fell short

by

I used these about 10 times before the fingertips came unattached from the shell within the glove. That resulted in the lined coming inside out while the shell did not. After that, I could never get the fingers in the same way, the fire resistant material within the glove bunched up and they were basically useless at that point.... 10 uses and they are now useless. Bad purchase.
