Per the vendor they recommend the weight not exceed 15 lbs.

Hi Cyndy, this will hold a turnout coat, having said that if the coat is soaking wet, loaded down with whatever a fire fighter keeps in his pockets could present a problem. we don't have a number that jumps out at us that if a coat weighs X amount the coat hanger will fail. These hangers weren't made for this type of thing, It's all in good judgement on the customer's part.
