Capable of recording in striking 1080i HD at 30 fps or in 720 HD at 60 fps, the Fire Cam Mini 1080 is equipped with a 170° wide-angle lens. Measuring 86 x 30 x 30mm and weighing a slight 3.31 ounces, the Fire Cam Mini can accurately capture photos for use in investigations. The camera's enhanced chipset and lens help provide a sharper image in low-light conditions. Due to its anodized aluminum frame, the camera and its heat-resistant glass lens can withstand smoldering temperatures surpassing 900 degrees Fahrenheit for brief periods in addition to 2000 degree Fahrenheit flash temperatures; however, use in concrete training towers or flashover chambers is not recommended due to the prolonged exposure to high temperatures for long periods of time.
Once the camera is activated, it continuously records, automatically saving any captured video and categorizing it into segments up to 15 minutes long. To ensure the smoothest, highest quality of video, use the 32 GB CLASS 10 Micro SDHC card that is included with the camera. The SD card automatically records over the oldest files. The water resistant sound cap allows you to accurately record audio, including radio traffic; the waterproof cap does not record audio, but can be used for underwater incidents down to 33 feet. An all-new “vibrate” feature allows the Fire Cam Mini HD to momentarily vibrate once it is turned on, off, or when the record function is activated in order to inform the user of its current state. The auto power off feature gives you the option to have the camera automatically turn off after 10 minutes of not recording. The camera comes standard with a BlackJack Fire Helmet Mount that permits easy attachment to any style of helmet.
